We commissioned Christopher to write a new piece for our 2015 tour of regional Queensland and specifically on the iconic town of Longreach.
“Renewing Rain” is a beautiful piece that evoked the contrasting tenderness and harshness of the landscape, the charm of the town and included the narrative of a resident in the local Aged Care facility called Sidony. Our intention was to premiere new music in a regional location, highlighting that location’s unique features and people, and Christopher captured that brief beautifully.
We’ll be including it in a forthcoming album release.
